Complete Denture

Replaces an entire row of missing teeth.

To replace all missing teeth using a complete denture that connect to implants. The advantage is that they are not loose. Especially recommended for lower dentures.

Implant Overdenture

A consultation visit is necessary to evaluate medical and dental conditions. For example, based on clinical and radiographic findings the quality of bone is assessed to determine placement of implants.

Using high resolution x-rays and doctor’s clinical exam, a tooth that is diagnosed to be non-restorable must be extracted as soon as possible to prevent spread of infection. Patients will be given antibiotic and pain medication. A follow up appointment will be given to check for healing.

After an extraction, it is recommended to avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and eating spicy or hot foods. Eat a soft diet that doesn’t require much chewing. Do not use a straw for drinking and avoid spitting. Bite on gauze to stop bleeding.

Once healing is achieved, there are different options available to replace missing teeth. Most common options include: fixed implants or bridge. Same-day temporary replacements are also available and will be discussed at your visit.

• Spontaneous pain that comes and goes
• Pain to cold drinks that persists
• Pain to hot drinks
• Pain when biting

A root canal therapy is performed under local anesthesia in 1 or 2 visits. Following the appointment, a buildup and crown is necessary restore the tooth. In complex cases such as molars, a root canal specialist known as an endodontist will perform the root canal.

Crowns and bridges can cover existing bad teeth, a new dental implant, or replace missing teeth.

Crowns are usually done in two visits. First, the tooth is built up, prepared and scanned. Case is sent to the laboratory to fabricate the crown. During this time patients will receive a temporary crown. Once the crown is received from the laboratory, the temporary is removed and the crown is cemented. Following the appointment, patients can return to their daily activities. Don’t forget to brush and floss to keep your crowns clean.

A dental restoration or filling is a material used to repair:

• Cavities
• Broken or chipped teeth

A cavity is decayed tooth structure. Bacteria on teeth surfaces weaken tooth structure eventually creating a hole. Decay is completely removed and the tooth is prepared for the filling to be inserted. This procedure is done under minimal anesthesia.

At Give Dental we use high resolution imaging and pictures every six months to detect and treat cavities as soon as possible. In some cases if the tooth is severely decayed or broken, a dental filling may not be sufficient to properly restore the tooth. In such cases, additional treatment is needed depending on the case. Therefore, it is highly recommended to treat decayed or broken teeth quickly while the tooth is still restorable.

Dental fillings are an excellent choice of treatment to restore broken and decayed teeth. The procedure is completed on the same day, is pain free, and restores one’s natural white tooth color.
